  1. When he was growing up, Raymond
  2. Berry was a skinny kid whose eyesight
  3. was so bad that he couldn't read the big
  4. "E" on the eye chart. He wore thick
  5. glasses when off the field, and contact
  6. lenses when on it. Sometimes, he wore
  7. special goggles inside his helmet. 
  8.  
  9. He also wore a canvas back brace, and
  10. one of his legs was longer than the
  11. other. "IΓÇÖm not fast, strong, or big,"
  12. Raymond once said. "I knew I had to
  13. concentrate more, practice harder, give
  14. more of myself than most." And he did,
  15. overcoming his physical limitations to
  16. become one of the NFLΓÇÖs all-time
  17. greats.
